Common Focus Areas
Learning From Mistakes
One of the biggest challenges Jacqueline sees is athletes allowing a single mistake to affect the rest of their performance.
She reminds players that softball is a game filled with failure and that learning from mistakes is far more valuable than expecting perfection.
Her goal is to help athletes develop the mindset to move forward, make adjustments, and compete confidently after a difficult play.
Small Wins That Matter
One of Jacqueline’s favorite coaching moments is when an athlete begins recognizing and explaining her own mistakes.
To Jacqueline, that means the athlete is truly understanding what she is learning rather than simply following instructions.
That understanding helps players make their own adjustments during games and develop greater independence on the field.
