South Wake Sports Academy, formerly known as Hit & Run, is locally owned and operated by three Families here in Southern Wake County. Our vision –“To create a safe and positive environment for our athletes to further develop their craft-on and off the field” Following the previous owner’s commitment and our promise to the Youth, we offer spaces and Training Programs for a multitude of Athletes, Sports and Teams. Our Coaches and Trainers are fully engaged in the development of our Youth, and are some of the best in the area! They are backed with extensive backgrounds and over a combined 50+ years of experience and knowledge. SWSA is home to several Athletes (past and present) of Fuquay-Varina and surrounding towns.

Welcome to our Premier Sports Facility! With over 20,000 sq ft of Climate Controlled – multi-use space, we offer an unparalleled experience for Athletes of all levels. Our facility boasts a variety of top-notch amenities to help you achieve your athletic goals and stay in peak physical condition.
One of the highlights of our Facility is our six state-of-the-art retractable Batting Cages, five measuring 70 by 14 feet each and one measuring 55 by 14, which are perfect for baseball and softball players looking to improve their swing or improve their infield play. In addition, we have a full court for Volleyball and Basketball, where you can practice your skills and engage in friendly competition with Friends and Fellow Members.
Our 26 by 60-foot Mixed-use Turf Area is ideal for a variety of activities, including Soccer, Football, Lacrosse, and Speed/Agility Training. This space can be used for individual workouts, Team practices, clinics or group classes.
For our Members, we offer a 5,000 sq ft Members-Only Area with even more amenities. Here, you’ll find two 45 by 14-foot retractable cages for additional batting practice, as well as a 50 by 50-foot half-court for Pickleball, Basketball, and Speed and Agility Training. We also offer Weight Training equipment to help you build strength and power.
